This is a fantastic Victorian 12kt yellow gold and green tourmaline chain necklace. This piece was originally a watch fob chain but it doubles as a fashionable necklace! Although this piece is unmarked, I have tested it as 12kt yellow gold.
There are 12 oval faceted green tourmaline stones, each wrap tied between a rectangular link. Each green tourmaline stone is approximately 5.00 mm by 3.50 mm. The green tourmaline stones have a combined weight of approximately 6.25 carats. Each rectangular link is detailed with textured lines, which adds a nice depth to the piece.
There is a large gold spring ring clasp at one end of the piece, and a gold swivel dog clip clasp at the other end. This makes it easy to put on the necklace, as well as attach multiple charms to either clasp. Laid flat, this piece is approximately 16.5” long—a perfect choker length. This necklace weighs approximately 13.10 grams.
This fabulous necklace would make an unforgettable gift or lovely addition to your antique jewelry collection!
