Gold Rush Era 14K Yellow Gold with Gold In Quartz and Rose Gold, Yellow Gold, and Green Gold Details

$1,050.00

This is a fabulous gold-in-quartz and 14kt yellow gold ring with rose gold, yellow gold, and green gold details. This antique piece is from the gold rush era, 1850s-1890s, and was likely made in California. Gold-in-quartz jewelry is incredibly rare as the gold miners would often extract the gold, disposing of the quartz.

This unisex ring features a rectangular gold-in-quartz stone with gold specks throughout. The stone is bezel set in 14kt yellow gold. On either side of the stone are lovely, detailed renderings of grapes on a vine. The grapes are made from 14kt rose gold, 14kt yellow gold, and 14kt green gold. The realistic details in grapes truly pop against the gold-in-quartz-stone. There are also lovely engraved etchings on either side of the grapes along the band of the ring. The stone measures approximately 11.55 mm by 7.00 mm. This ring weighs approximately 8.40 grams. This ring is currently a size 8, perfectly unisex! It would be possible, with the help of a knowledgeable jeweler, to have the ring sized.

This is a true piece of history and would make an unforgettable gift! Alternatively, keep it for yourself and marvel at the latest addition to your antique jewelry collection.
