Early French Victorian 18K Gold Bracelet with Pearls and Emerald

This lovely French 18 karat yellow gold bracelet is made with a hand made flexible box chain weave band and a floral motif that is decorated with two split pearls and a well saturated emerald. The natural emerald gemstone measures approximately 3.5 x 4.6mm and is colored with such a luminous green that is most likely a Columbian emerald because of the saturation. The emerald is about .25 carats.
The clasp made to be worn in the front has a lovely top detail, a table cut emerald flanked by milky white pearls set in a floral motif. The bracelet is in great condition for its age; the bracelet has French bigorne marks as well as the eagle head for 750 gold. It dates it to the 1850s.
The bracelet has been carefully hand-made and clips to open and close with a sturdy clasp that is hidden in the front panel of the bracelet. The maker's marks and gold standard marked on in the interior where the bracelet clasps together. The woven gold band measures approximately 6 inches and is just under a quarter inch in width. With the clasp at the end the bracelet is 7 inches in size. The length of the woven bracelet is in great condition with no dents and is fully flexible. A really superb French antique, with lovely detail and ornamentation at either end. Weighs 8.2 grams. A fine example of an early Victorian piece and a great addition to any collection.
