This is a beautiful 14 karat yellow gold and diamond Art Nouveau pendant locket. The pendant bears the face of a beautiful woman in profile. Her hair flows freely as ivy leaves fall around her. She is a classic Gibson girl the embodiment of beauty at the time. This piece was crafted in the repousse technique and has excellent detail and patina. At the center of one leaf is a single cut diamond. The diamond has an approximate diameter of 1.50 mm. On the back of the pendant are the initials “GACJ”, hand engraved in cursive. The locket opens and closes with sturdy snap. Inside there are two spaces for a keepsake photo. The pendant has a generous bail and is ready to hang on the chain of your choice. The pendant has a 1” diameter. Although this piece is unmarked, I have tested it as 14kt gold. It weighs 7.2 grams.
This piece would make a wonderful gift or fabulous addition to your jewelry collection!
