18K White Gold Art Deco Feather Plume Pendant Brooch with Diamonds and Sapphires on Chain

This lively 18K white gold Art Deco plume or feather brooch pendant is covered with diamonds and sapphires along a curling spine. The feather brooch pendant has over 90 tiny 1mm single cut diamonds and 15 French caliber cut sapphires. The sapphires have a splendid color, are well saturated and exquisitely cut to fit along the spine of the feather. The gemstones flow beautifully, and make this an extra special piece, a classic from the Art Deco era. The feather comes with a contemporary 18 karat white gold chain. The feather measures 1-7/8 of an inch long by 5/8 inches wide. The brooch pendant weighs 8.6 grams and the 24 inch chain weighs 3.6 grams. Both are marked with 18K gold. The pendant brooch is hallmarked with what looks like a JDK, but I could not find the maker matching this hallmark. It is a very high quality piece made with impeccable craftsmanship. The plume brooch pendant dates to the 1930s. It is a fine antique, a stunning addition to any antique collection.
