A wonderful 18k gold pendant or charm featuring a hand-carved family crest and a stunning matte patina. The engraving includes a dove holding an olive branch and a dexter hand with a sword. There's tremendous symbolic meaning engraved here - war and peace - that's perfect for a historian, artist or philosopher!
This pendant is a Signature piece, altered from 1870s, Victorian, cufflinks. Their oval shape is great for a pendant conversion. We have two pieces that are almost identical. One is marked on the back 18 with a crown and an "E.C" maker's mark and the other is marked with a lion for London and the date letter a and and an“E.C” as well. Each weigh 3.7 grams and measures 1” by 9/16”. The oval bail opening measures 3 mm by .5 mm.
An incredible engraving and matte patina, this pendant makes a great addition to any jewelry collection!
