A delicate 18K gold Victorian reticulated orb locket comprised of two halves that lock together. This piece opens and closes with a hinge clasp. When open, it reveals a ribbed gold surface to place a photograph on either side.
The orb shape of the locket have tiny lace-like cutouts. These are cut by hand and exhibit some very fine craftsmanship. This piece is stunning to wear, and its also the perfect home for photographs of loved ones. It is very ceremonial to open and close giving more emphasis as to what is inside. Marked on the inside of the clasp "18K", the workmanship involved in this locket dates it in the Victorian era.
This piece weighs 5.4 grams, measures 1" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the locket, and has a 5/8” diameter. The bail opening measures 2.8mm by 2.5mm.
