This adorable Victorian turquoise, diamond, and pearl ring was made in 1899. With hallmarks for Birmingham, the date letter z and makers mark WHS. This classic pea pod design has an alternating pearl and turquoise cabochons. There are 8 tiny 1mm rose cut diamond set in between the pea pods, these add a lovely sparkle to the ring. The center pearl measures 3.25 mm with the turquoise cabochons measuring 2.75mm and the outside pearls measuring 2.25 mm. The turquoise has a nice blue green patina and on close inspection with a loop a small nick to one of the stones near the base (see photos). The carriage of the ring has lovely scrolling details and the 18K gold gives off a rich glow. The ring is a size 6 3/4 and is excellent condition. A sweet example of a classic Victorian design.
