18K Gold & French Platinum Fancy-Link Necklace w/ Pearls

This is an incredible 18k gold, French platinum fancy-link watch chain necklace with pearls from the Edwardian era. The design has an understated grace featuring alternating platinum and gold links that are impeccably crafted.

The platinum rectangular links that each measure about 10 mm long by 2.3 mm wide and each have 5 tiny circular floating circles. The platinum links alternate with 18k yellow gold circular links that have tiny graphic cutout details. Every 2 1/2 inches there is a delicate pearl (16 total) that juxtapose the harder lines of the gold and platinum design elements.

This versatile necklace has a platinum dog-clip clasp that can be used to attach a charm. It measures 41 1/4” and can be worn long or wrapped twice around the neck. The jump ring end has the Mercury Head French hallmark and the entire piece weighs 28 grams.
