A beautiful fancy link 18 karat yellow gold bracelet from the early 19th century France. This bracelet is made up of seven ornate links, in the shape of an oval leaf, with bead work, twisted and textured gold, and layered elements that create an almost paisley-like pattern. The links measure approximately 7/8 of an inch x 3/8 of an inch and are fastened together by smaller flat oval links. The bracelet wears comfortably on the wrist as there is a slight organic bend to the links.
The end of the bracelet has a bale where the French eagle head gold standard mark can be found as well as the bigorne marks. It has also been acid tested to 18K gold. This bracelet dates to the 1860s and is a wonderful antique piece of jewelry. The bracelet has a total approximate weight of 14 grams and measures 7-3/8 inches. A wonderful addition to any fine jewelry collection.
