This is a 15k gold Victorian quatrefoil pearl and enamel pendant brooch. Its clover shape glows with a textured bright green enamel border. Surrounding this border are 40 well matched bead set pearls all about 1mm each. In the center is a floral motif with another 21 pearls. The central pearl is 3mm with the others ranging from 1.5 to 2mm each What is so special about this piece is that it is completely hand made. Each pearl is bead set with the surround a collet-set masterpiece. On the reverse one can see all the individual pieces that make up the whole, all gold joined together and fitting like an intricate puzzle. The enamel is in excellent shape and the pearls appear to be original and natural. The bail is original to the piece and folds back if you want to wear it as a brooch. The 14 k gold chain is 16 1/2" long and fits the delicate nature of the piece. The piece weighs 6.85 grams with the chain weighing in at 1 gram. The piece is marked 15CT on the back, and it is most likely European. It measure 1" x 1 1/2" from the top of the bale to the bottom of the piece. Circa 1870.
