This is an adorable labradorite dog pendant from the Victorian era. The hand carved labradorite lovingly portrays a fluffy dog head with ruby cabochon eyes. The piece is backed with a 14K gold mount that has triangular tabs that hold the stone in place.
The labradorite is a blue, grey, and green with flashes of iridescence. It measures 3/4” (including the bale) by 1/2” wide by 3/8” deep, and it weighs 3.8 grams. Both ruby eyes measure about 1.5 mm in diameter.
