14K Gold Victorian Diamond and Opal Flower Ring

This tender 14K gold Victorian opal flower ring surrounded by tiny diamonds is a classic piece. The design of the ring has all the favorite elements of Victorian era jewelry- a milky white opal cabochon with specs of blue and yellow colors. Surrounding the opal are eight chunky but tiny old mine cut diamonds, which are a rare find. The hand-made qualities of this ring is what really make it stand out. It is a modest flower but a very special one, filled with the symbolic language of love from the Victorian era.

The opal gemstone was also a favorite from this time; opal is an intuitive gemstone, associated to the unconscious, to meditation and the symbol of the moon. Opal is also the birthstone for the month of October, and in the Victorian era it was often gifted among lovers as the stone was said to represent faithfulness in love and friendship.

The ring is 14 karat gold, and is marked on the interior of the band. The ring is a size 5 but can be re-sized by a professional jeweler. Circa 1890s. This ring is truly stunning in person!
