14K Gold Shooting Star Charm

Part of our signature line, we converted an Edwardian stickpin into this adorable shooting star charm. The 14k gold star contains tiny seed pearls, which were bead set into gold that was carved out by hand. One tiny seed pearl is suspended from the bottom of the star, suggesting movement as the star shoots across the sky. Wear this for good luck or to make a special wish come true.

Celestial jewelry became popular in the Victorian and Edwardian eras, as recent advances in astronomy allowed people to look to the sky with new understanding. It has resurfaced in popularity as a major trend in contemporary fashion.  With the stickpin removed, this star is now free to be worn on a charm bracelet or chain necklace—capturing both the elegance of the Edwardian era and the chic simplicity of contemporary jewelry themes.

The charm weighs .54 grams and is 5/8” x 5/16”, not including the bail. The bail is 5mm across.
