14K Gold Mid-Century Modern Diamond Star Pendant

This 14k gold Mid-Century Modern star pendant is straight from the Space Age! The star has 16 radiating points, half of which are topped with diamonds and decorated with a bar and dot motif. The central diamond and long, extended arms harken back to Sputnik and the playful Jetson-esque, modernist vibe of the 1960’s. 

Originally a stickpin, we removed the pin and added a bail so that the piece could be worn as a pendant.  There are nine bright and lively diamonds, (round brilliant), G-H in color and VS-I to SL-I in clarity. The central diamond is 3.5 mm and the exterior diamonds are 2.25 mm. In total, the pendant contains .60 of a carat of diamonds. 

The pendant weighs 7.12 grams. It is approximately 1 1/8” across, with an oval bail that measures 5 x 7 mm.
