14K Gold Australian Opal Gemstone Ring

This lovely Australian gemstone ring is made of six opal open back cabochons set into a 14 yellow gold band. The ring is feminine and a fine half-hoop contemporary piece. The opals are iridescent and vibrate with many colors. Opal comes from the word "opallios", which in Greek means "to see a change".  The luminous stone is ever-changing: from pink to blue to violet to cream and to yellow. The cabochons measure approximately 3.3mm each. The ring is marked in the interior with a maker's mark and 14K. It has been acid tested to such.

This ring makes a great piece of jewelry for everyday wear. It is feminine and lively. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is also the stone that has long been associated with romantic love, and inspiration. This ring would make a lovely Valentine's gift! The ring is a size 6 and can be easily re-sized.
