10K Gold Vintage Fleur de Lys Pendant

A lovely 10K gold fleur-de-lys that was once a watch pin, which now functions as a pendant. The flower measures approximately 1 inch by 3/4 of an inch. It has a clip on the back so that one can hang additional charms, or a gemstone from it. The pendant is not marked but has been acid tested. It is a great vintage item, from the 1910s, with some nice gold dotted or bead work along the edges.

It also has soft edges that create a nice sculpted look. Weighs 2.2 grams.

The fleur-de-lys is the symbolic flower of French royalty, and historically was associated with the French coat of arms. But today this stylized flower is also a motif that represents many other things- from Catholicism, to the country of France, to the Italian Renaissance.

Depicted here is the pendant on a chain. Chain is sold separately.
