Rendered in 10k gold, a well-detailed prancing horse adorns the front of this 1930’s money clip. The clip is created by flattened gold twisted in a rope-like effect that mirrors the equestrian theme. We love the horse’s tiny life-like details and the beautiful patina that adds definition to the horse’s physique. The clip was most likely a prize awarded at the horse show, as the back of the piece is hand-engraved with “Sou. Horse Show Assn. April 17, 1936”. And what a lovely prize it makes!
The clip measures 1 15/16” x 1 1/16”. It weighs 6.5 grams. It is marked with a star and 10k.
The clip looks great with bills in it and the gold brings out the hues of green and yellow found in a bill. Perfect for the horse enthusiast or jockey.
